Purchased Pro, Only Getting Titanium

recipe0

Question

Hi,

I purchased Toast 12 Pro. I downloaded the software. When I go to install the software, it installs Toast 12 Titanium.

I have called the support number twice, and they tried giving me a new download, but the same thing happened.

Why is this happening to me?

Thank you!

There is no description on Toast that designates it as Pro. The only distinction with Toast is if the Blu-ray video features are activated. Pro also comes with a separate download (at least for me awhile ago) with the 3rd party apps.

It's been seriously infuriating. I spent all day trying to get somebody at customer or technical support to help me get the software that I bought. Nobody is able to help me. I ended up getting the most help on the Roxio Facebook page, where a sales support person sent me. But even they quit on me.

Same issue with me. Just bonkers. I want to hit something. How is it possible to spend a hundred dollars on a piece of software to only be delivered something else? The download is even called Toast_12_Pro so it's not like I've downloaded the wrong thing. ARGH! Has anyone had any progress on this? Thought I could trust Roxio clearly not.

Yes. But awaiting reply. It just seems weird that there's no public explanation of why this is happening. That way at least I could fix it without having to wait messages. I simply don't understand how they can release a product that doesn't work.

I think I'm in the same position as recipe0. I downloaded and installed Toast Titanium Pro. In the downloaded .dmg, it has a folder Pro Apps, all of which installed with the keys I got when I paid for the upgrade from 11 Pro. However, when I installed it, it installed into /Applications/Toast 12 Titanium as Toast Titanium (no mention of "Pro").

I don't have a Blu-Ray device, but when I run my copy of Toast, I see "Show Blu-ray video projects" ticked in Toast Titanium>Preferences>General. The Recorder menu-bar menu has a greyed-out item "Format Blu-ray disk for dynamic writing...".

I'm not sure whether that answers Tsantee's questions for my setup.

Is this Pro or not?

I'd just like a response from them. Tried ringing their USELESS call centre. Nothing. I just don't get how anyone can run a company like this. Zero support on here. Zero support on the phone. Zero support on Twitter/Facebook. Load of rubbish.

Sorry you feel we're not trying to help you. Comments like that make others not inclined to even try.

And your answer to tsantee's question in post #4?

Well, the question in post #4 was posed to try to help us determine exactly what you've been offered as a download. You're saying you have the same issues as the original poster, to whom that question was sent, so it also applies to you. And you'd be surprised at how many people think the questions posted in a thread don't apply to them. Apparently, in your case, the proper response would be, "No, I don't have the Blu-Ray option, and I didn't get a download for the Pro Apps." By not answering the question, either positive or negative, we don't know if you have the Blu-Ray video option, or the Pro Apps.

Turlinator, obviously you don't want help. I can oblige.

I suggest that, based on your question, it's dawned on him that he actually does have the Pro version. Not wanting to appear a dummy, he finds a way not to answer.

But, there are worse things than looking like a dummy.

Hi. I am back. I did, in fact, get in touch with this Rox-Ralf, and he did give me a new download. It still says it is only "Toast Titanium" however (in reply to post #4) I now have the option to author a Blu Ray. So I guess problem solved?

Should the software say "Pro" or is this just a confusing issue where the software just calls itself "Titanium" no matter what you buy?

Now I have to post a new thread about the stuttered playback I am seeing when I put my Blu Ray in my PS3.

We're a user community here, with only occasional input from an actual Roxio person. But, you could try contacting Rox-Ralf, using the link in my signature below for resetting your installation count. That has instructions for sending him a personal message. It may take a day or two for him to get back to you.
