Hdmi To Dvi Not Showing On Monitor

Hi I am try to convert my HDMI signal to DVI when I plug the cable from the xbox to the Roxio the signal is fine and good on the software when I plug the HDMI into the DVI converter then to the monitor nothing shows up. I have checked both the Monitor and converter to see if they support HDCP and they both do. So i can not figure out why it is not working. I can post pics of setup on request thanks for the input in advanced.

Yes if i plug the HDMI into the Xbox then to the monitor it works fine.

What I think you are getting is the HDCP Code that Roxio adds is not working right through the HDMI-DVI-D adapter...

 

The Xbox 3 does not have HDCP Code and the Xbox One allows you to turn it off but Roxio does not!

 

What you may have to do, assuming that scenario fits your condition, is add an HDMI Splitter. Put it on at the Xbox so one line goes to Roxio and the other to your Monitor via your DVI-D adapter

I guess i could do that it can be any splitter right because im not trying to remove the encodeing

The next question I would ask is: When you are connected through the RGC HD Pro, do you have a good signal on your recording PC? The RGC HD Pro must be connected and the software running (and "happy") in order to get a signal through to go to your TV.

yes the signal is nice and clear on the RGC HD Pro

Well, that definitely makes it sound like the converter (or monitor) isn't handling the HDCP properly. But yes, a splitter in front of the RGC HD Pro would not need to deal with the HDCP.

If you plug your HDMI cable directly from your Xbox into your DVI converter and then into your monitor, without the Roxio Game Capture device between, does that work okay? If not, then the problem is likely your HDMI to DVI converter.
