Trim Greyed Out

i have been using roxio for years...almost evertime i go to use it (2-3 times a year), i have an issue. right now i am trying to make a DVD and using mydvd video edit to add 4 chucks of video together and edit them. I (like always) add the first video and click edit....then i right click on video and select trim to trim the video down to what i need, add video and start over. trim is greyed out and i cant use it...please i need help asap for this project. using ntx2 and mpeg files

The Red Circle/Slash indicates that your Video Files are NOT valid!

 

You cannot expect a program to work with invalid files...

 

Of course that moves to the next question, WHY? Do you have other files, mpg preferred, to test with? Want to see if it is the File or the Program that is at issue

 

If it is the Files a 3^rd Party converter might fix them up like, Any Video Converter - HERE
