bimicher
"Nothing works" tells us absolutely nothing. What do you mean by "Roxio stop working after a while or he doesn't stop to look for video signal."? Do you mean that the program works for a while and then stops capturing? po'd user
Same problem, installation disk went well, tutorial worked well, when it came to the part of inserting tape in VCR and hit play the message of no video signal found. have tried using the "S" video recommended cable as well as the composite cable option. different cabling seems to make no difference. d_deweywright
po'd... If you connect your VCR to a TV, do you get an image and sound there? Do you get any sound when connected to your capture device?
Jim_Hardin
For both of you, WITH the Device plugged in, your Device Manager must look like this: Win7: Not This!
po'd user
Yes, when the VCR tape was shown thru the TV it looked and sounded great? Just checked the Device Manager, YES it looks exactly as this, and when checked in property it was there, too..... But when I tried to set it up, again received the message of no video signal....now what do I Do???
d_deweywright
There are a couple possibilities at this point. You could have a defective capture device, or the signal from the VCR isn't sufficient for the device to detect it. It does seem to need a "stronger" signal than a TV. To test it, you can do a couple things. Try a couple of different tapes. The one you're using, depending on how old it is, may have degraded and so the VCR is putting out a lower signal. Try another device, like a DVD player, that has a composite (yellow RCA jack) output, to see if that signal is detected. Get another VCR to try. (Check second hand stores, garage sales...) If none of those give you a signal to capture, Roxio has a 30-day money back guarantee, if you bought it through them. If not, you may be able to exchange it wherever you did buy it. It will report everything is great even with the wrong driver Follow Dave's instructions.
