Easy Vhs To Dvd 3 Noise Issue

BigAl62

Question

I purchased Roxio Easy VHS to DVD 3 on eBay (an unopened, new product, not a used one) and I'm having a VERY annoying noise issue. When I open the program and connect the USB capture device to my computer (Dell N5050 running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit) I get a high pitched noise that is almost like audio feedback. It happens anytime the USB device is plugged in regardless of whether my VCR is hooked up or not. When I play the VCR I get no sound from the video, just this annoying noise. Has anyone else had this problem and more importantly, does anyone have a solution. Any help would be appreciated, thank you in advance.

2 things come to mine... Improper install (plugging in the USB Device before installing the software)

But then you are using a laptop and you need to Disable your built in speaker and webcam.

Check that out and let us know ;)

Not to sound too cynical, but "new in the box" from eBay can be faked by re-sealing the box -_-

I didn't plug the USB device in until after I installed the software. I tried different USB ports and running on battery power. I finally uninstalled the USB device drivers and reinstalled them again (I've done this twice already) and now it works. Thanks for the suggestions even though they did not help. Any ideas are better than none at all.
