If it is in STANDARD MTS format...

 

Trouble is Sony only follows Formats if it suits them :lol:

 

Worse case is you may have to run in FX or FH mode or do a 3rd party conversion before you use Roxio. But who knows, maybe PS will work...

 

To date no one has complained about Sonys and Roxio lately, so maybe they improved...

Will NXT3 recognize and import MTS video files from Sony HDR-PJ540?

 

Almost. I have a similar camcorder (3D) and use the USB port on the camcorder along with the Play Memories included software to import the video and image files onto my computer with few issues. I prefer, however, to record to a memory stick so that I can take it out of the camcorder and put it in a card reader of my computer. The speed of transfer is much higher.

 

I have no issues with the format. Do not do anything special on the camcorder to the images and video you take before movinh them to your computer.
