Black Preview Screen, But Says Ready

Question

Hi,



When I connect my Roxio Game Capture HD Pro to my Wii U, or Xbox 360 (I use HDMI cords to do this) and hook it up to my computer, I select the CAPTURE icon in my application, and it says that everything is set up right, and displays READY. However, my preview screen is black, and when I select the START CAPTURE feature, the software crashes.




I have followed the set up instructions correctly, and even used the product normally a few days ago, and I cannot see what my problem is. How can I fix this?

If it worked and now it does not, something has changed on your PC...

Start by doing a proper repair and let's see what happens.

First thing to do is to turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc.

Unplug your RGC Device and put it aside until you are completely finished.

Now insert your Roxio Disc.

Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows)

When you reach the screen where Repair is offered, choose that!

When the Repair completes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.

Go to afriends place and copy the disc to a USB stick and install from the stick

 

I just remembered I can use my older laptop to copy the contents of the disc onto my USB, currently reinstalling the program, Thanks anyway though! :D
