Widens 4:3 To 16:9

I am trying to burn a DVD of a video that is 1440 X 1080. 59.94 fps Audio MPEG-4 Audio, Stereo, 48000 Hz.

Ever attempt I have made widens the image and says that its format is 16:9.

I have tried DVD video with MPEG-2. I set the reencoding to Never and the Aspect Ratio to 4:3.

I tried the High definition Mpeg-4 AVC, with and without the reencoding at Never. The aspect Ratio set to 4:3.

Ever DVD goes into the computer and looks normal for one second then stretches out.

What have I done wrong? or What can I do to fix this.

Not sure. Is it possible to tell the player on the computer to display it at 4:3? My TV has settings to force playing at 4:3.
