disturbed1
I am using Roxio Easy CD Creator 5.3.1.154, The program appears to have installed correctly but when I open it a series of error messages pop up stating that my cd drive is not recognized. Error says Creator API (could not load CDR4) then another says it cant see cdroms in system. My cdrom drive has worked properly up until I installed this software. Any suggestions. cdanteek
Roxio Easy CD Creator 5.3.1.154 isn't compatible with W-7! Last OS it was compatible with was XP.
disturbed1
Well, I guess that is why it doesn't work properly. Which Roxio program do you recommend for copying DVDs?
sknis
First, not Roxio program will copy a copy protected commercial DVD. Why not just use Windows 7 to copy the DVD?
disturbed1
Is there any way to copy it without moving the files onto the desktop first?
d_deweywright
You need to have two DVD drives. Do you? Just keep in mind that any errors that occur reading the source drive will cause a ruined blank DVD. Whereas staging the data to your HD will let you know if there's any problem reading the source disc, or if it just takes a few extra "re-reads" to get it right, buffering to HD won't ruin a blank. disturbed1
I only have one disc drive, on a pretty crappy laptop. Its a work computer so I can only use so much space on the hard drive.
d_deweywright
Well, the data has to go somewhere first, if you only have one drive. In your case, that's the hard drive. You could use a thumb drive instead, if that would make things better for you. Or maybe you can get a USB connected DVD drive for a second drive?
