"The following Codec must be activated......"

Hi,

The rest of the EMC9 suite seems to be OK but whenever I try to launch MyDVD or Videowave, I get the following message "The following Codec must be activated before using this application - MPEG-2; Click OK to activate" which I do, then I get "Please wait while we connect you to our servers" but this never happens and the program hangs. Any ideas? I've tried the repair reinstall to no avail.

Have you tried the "Manual Activation" method ? If not, Go to the "Activation" area in EMC9 and at the top of the screen look for the closed post from John at Roxio explaining how to do a manual activation.

Read numerous posts in the 'Activation' area in the 9 forums and you'll find many answers to your question.
