Creator Nxt Windows 10 Compatibility?

out of harms way

Question

Hi,

Does anyone out there yet know whether Creator NXT will work with Windows 10? My experience with Windows 8.1 is that Videowave has more areas where it is flaky. I now have to move everything over to a slower Win7 machine to carry out some audio operations. I expect Win10 to cause more issues!! Any comments?

Cheers, Dave

Everything as of windows 10 release date Build 10240 Fresh Install/Clean Install is working except the advanced backup only shows "Desktop" when you go to select folders to be backed up, and in print photos, when I try to print them to my HP LaserJet 200 color M251nw, it just brings up the printer icon next to the clock and 0 pending documents in the printer queue is 0, and does not print anything. all other apps print perfectly.

Is that Creator NXT [this topic] or Creator NXT 3 [different forum] please, Daniel?

Please let us know how you get on, Soundman.

Well, the removal and reinstall resulted in the same issue. As a result I have found that the advanced backup file/folder selection doesn't seem to work under Windows 10 since it only presents the Desktop icon which can't be opened. Everything else I've tried seems to work so far. with the exception of a long standing problem I've had with video capture under windows 8 and 8.1.

Also Windows 10 removes Roxio NXT 3 Pro's virtual drive capability and video capture is unstable.

My machine did the upgrade on a reboot after I asked for it to be delayed (I got three choices, now, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow). Since it started, I didn't have much choice. The thing I found so far that doesn't work any more is the advanced backup only shows "Desktop" when you go to select folders to be backed up.

I think that would be wise, Dave.

Trying out new combinations of Operating Systems and vital software is often best done by people with more than one system. That way you can keep your vital things going on one system while you try things out on the other.
