rom999 0 Report post Posted July 15, 2015 Hi all, I exported an Mpeg 4 video from iMovie 10.0.9. Its 11gb. In Toast 12 i go to Blu Ray video (i have the plugin) and try and drag the file in. Toast tells me that "[Video filename] is in an unsupported format and cannot be imported." What am i doing wrong? The file is being exported from iMovie at 1920x1080 size. thanks
0 tsantee 231 Report post Posted July 20, 2015 There should be no problem if you exported the video from iMovie using its Share command.
0 rom999 0 Report post Posted July 21, 2015 And therein lies the problem! If i use the share functon to export large videos they are not recognised by Toast. BUT if i export a small video (sub 1gb) then they are fine!
0 tsantee 231 Report post Posted July 24, 2015 Is it possible you are saving the exported movie to an external hard drive that is not formatted to HFS+ ? The old PC-formatted drives have a 1 GB file size limit.
0 rom999 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2015 I am exporting to my IMAC internal drive then dragging into Toast. If it was a format issue then it wouldnt save onto the mac in the first place i imagine.
