Black Screen After 7 Seconds



Records fine for 7 seconds and then it goes black. I repaired-reinstalled-installed the software. No luck on 2 different PCs -- Win 8 and Win 7.


Using Google Chromecast as input.


Update: Now the preview screen does the same



Is it because the roxio was on my shelf collecting dust for almost 2 years?

When the screen goes black, what does your preview screen indicate for status? Do you have a "No Signal" indicator? If so, what color is it? Or some other message?


Can you control the output from the Chromecast so that you can set it to 1080i instead of 1080p? (If so, try that and see if that makes any difference.)
