I go to Photo Suite, to photo projects, select a template, get a window titled "Insert the required Content CD" which says below the following:
Please insert the content CD labelled " into a CD or DVD drive and then click Retry.
I finally figured out which CD the " CD is and reload. everything is fine and I go ahead with my project.
Next time I have shut down the computer and started up again...I have to do the same thing all over again. I've reloaded, tried repair--I've even reloaded the entire 2 disk Roxio Creator NXT Pro 3 from scratch again. But as soon as I've shutdown and started my PC up again, the problem presents itself again.... Any ideas? Is it anything to do with other software or programs like Windows Defender, or my spyware or what I don't know?
Hi, it's mikesullivan again (July 26/07/2015). I STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM but I've found an unorthodox way around it:
I went into Windows Explorer to Program Files (x86) to Roxio Creator NXT Pro 3;
then to PhotoSuite;
then to Content;
then to Collage (which is what I wanted);
then--previously creating a folder on my Desktop entitled Collage Templates-- I copied the contents of the Collage folder and pasted this onto my Desktop file folder
Even after shutting down and starting up, I just go to Collage Templates on the Desktop, choose a template, this opens up PhotoSuite, with my template I chose, which now allows me to add photos and I can then print out what I want! This way is even faster than going to Roxio NXT 3, then PhotoSuite, etc. So, I'm living with it--thanks, anyways.
So, hello, it's mikesullivan again (Sept/18/2015). I've since dug into some past posts here and noticed others with the similar problem I had. The responses showed, mostly, that you first shut off your anti-virus, and to then download your necessary content CD or DVD disks from Roxio. Later, you can restart the anti-virus. Also, and it would seem very important--avoid using registry cleaners, as they may cancel some files from the Roxio content--so, when you start up again, you get stuck with another window saying to insert the content CD labelled ".
I understand, I can appreciate this advice. But. I'm stubborn in my own way. I chose to keep using my registry cleaner, now that I've found my way around the problem. What I've done now is to completely paste Photo Suite Content into a folder onto my desktop--I get all that I want, and easier, without having to cancel my registry cleaner...thanks, Mike.
