I've been a Roxio disciple for as long as I can remember. Having just upgraded my o/s from Win7 Pro 64-bit to Windows 10 Pro 64-bit my trusted copy of Roxio Creator 10 would no longer function (ex: opening the Creator 10 app would no longer recognize either my dvd or BluRay burners). Needed at minimum a dvd burner and all the freeware burner apps were either virus ridden when downloaded or not too elegant in use. After careful research which clearly stated Windows 10 support I purchased a retail copy of Roxio Creator NXT Pro 3 and patiently awaited delivery while I read all the good/bad/ugly postings and was resigned to the fact it would be a problematic install....NOT! Install went cleanly and just quickly perused through some of the new features over the older Creator 10. I've read some of the Roxio Forum postings indicating a finite number of installs before I might encounter the dreaded ....." too many activations" which concern me. I need to know what awaits me as there exists a absolute certainty I will be doing a complete "clean" install (versus Microsoft upgrade) in the future...how many activations is a legitimate purchaser allowed before I may encounter this message?
I've already performed some test burns using NXT Pro3 and would NOT have purchased this newer version of Roxio had it not been for the fact I had a urgent need to create bootable DVD of this Microsoft iso image. What has changed from Creator 10 to NXT Pro 3 other than all the newer utilities? .... Creator 10 has served me well from Windows XP all the way thru Windows 10 (Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 all worked cleanly with Creator 10 but NOT Windows 10)
