Installation Interrupts Before Completion

I have been in contact with Corell support staff for over six hours over two separate days. They've not been able to install the software on my PC. The installation is "interrupted" after about 15 minutes and at point where the installation is writing to the registers. The Corell technician suggested that I try to install on another machine and see if it installs. He said if it does then there is an issue with my machine. I had the software running well on the machine. I recently had to reinstall WIN 7 and of course I had to reinstall all my other software. The only one I can't seem to reload is VHS to DVD 3+. I'v had no issues loading any other software. Does any one know how to fix?

One thing that often work when things are stuck like this in a new account...

Unplug your Roxio Capture Device and put it aside until you are completely finished.

Download and install the Revo Uninstaller. Then run it in Moderate Mode to remove any traces of Roxio.

(this is to make sure ALL traces are gone! ~ may not show any)

Create a New User Account in Win 7, with Administrator Privileges.

Turn OFF any A/V & Firewall.

Reboot and log on to that new account.

Copy your entire disc to a new folder on your HDD.

In that new folder, right click on Setup.exe and select Properties.

Under the Compatibility tab, make sure nothing is checked!

Right click Setup.exe and select Open.

Allow it to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio not Windows) do this later, let's get it installed first ;)

Use the Default Locations!

When the Install completes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.

We can talk more after you get it installed -_-
