Roxio Easy Cd And Dvd Burning Nxt: No Drive Detected

ayeladdie

Question

When attempting a Data Burn, the Destination: text box defaults to "No drive detected". How can I get the program to recognize I have a D: drive? If I select Tools from the top menu and click "Eject/Close Drive Tray", it displays my system drive "hp DVD-ROM (D:)" and will open the tray. I have an HP E5800 running Windows 7 Pro, SP1, with Pentium Dual-Core CPU, 64 bit OS.

You can try following this to the 'T'.

Ayeladdie,

You haven't told us what sort of optical drive you have. If "hp DVD-ROM (D:)" is actually just a reader [DVD-ROM] and not a writer then you would expect the Roxio software to behave like it did - it doesn't see any burner drive.

If the proceedure that Cdanteek pointed you to hasn't changed the software's behavior, would you please tell us the make and model of your optical drive?

Regards,

Brendon
