Dvd's Wont Play In A Dvd Player

Hi all, I'm an oldie and fairly computer literate, but this has got me. I have been trying to solve why my created DVD's with MP4 teaching lessons for ages. When inserted into a DVD player it says insert disc, derrrrr! theres one in their, tried friends player and it's the same.

 

It will play on any computer though.

 

Those anyone know why this is please!

You probably made a data DVD which will play on a computer but will not play only on certain DVD players.

 

Tell us how you made the disc.

Hi Digital Guru, I even bought Roxio Easy CD and DVD Burner, to try ans fix the problem, all I do know just dragged the source to Roxio burn, didn't work also tried it on Windows DVD Maker same result. I'm on Windows 7 and using DVD-R.

 

I just looked at the disk properties and yes! it was on data. I didn't know you had to change this to videos.

 

I got so fustrated I gave trying to do this about a year ago, but I have DVDs to give out and need to sort it. I will try this tomorrow and let you know if it works.

Go here and download the users guide. fore your program. Read about "Create DVD" a video disc. Standard DVDs have a mpg2 video format ; not an mp4 video format. The program should convert the files.
