Question

Hello, I need help.

So, I just got my dual monitors today and I'm so excited to start capturing. But I don't know what to do.

I have one monitor connected to my GPU with and HDMI cable and the other monitor connected to the GPU with a VGA cable and DVI cable adapter connected to the GPU.

I have no Idea what to do now. Do I plug it into my motherboard?

I have an ASUS with DVI,VGA,Cables, andHDMI ports and an HP with VGA and DVI.

My questions are:

How do I record?

How do I set it up?

Specs in attached files.

DxDiag.txt

I am guessing that you want to play on your PC and capture with the same PC at the same time???

You PC seems to have enough 'horsepower' to do that.

You will need an HDMI Splitter. The setup goes like this:

Video Card HDMI out to Splitter.

One HDMI from Splitter to Monitor.

One HDMI from Splitter to RGC.

USB from RGC to your PC.

PLAY on your HDMI Monitor (hence the splitter)

Run and Record the RGC Software on the second Monitor.

It is a nice PC, I am surprised your Video Card does not have two HDMI outputs??? Of course you would then need a second HDMI Monitor ;)

The reason to go with the HDMI is that the Preview Pane in the RGC software is delayed by a second or two and trying to play a game on it will use up your lives before you get to first level! Also the RGC will only capture what it receives - your HDMI is HD whereas your VGA will never be more than SD -_-

Give it a try and let us know.

No recommendations...

I do recommend you buy it from a place that you can return it to if needed. I would stick to a simple, not external powered, one.

You should only need the One ;)

NO - You want one with 1 input to 2 outputs.

Buy it local, in case it does not work (easier to return)
