Tweetypie
I am converting VHS tapes to DVD's and they aren't finalizing and closing the disks on the writer. Is there a way to finalize them in Toast 14? Thanks
Guest Rox-Ralf
As far as I know, Toast 14 cannot finalize disc that are created on software especially in the video mode on standalone recorders. It can extract video from unfinalized DVDs recorded in the VR mode (those are written to rewritable discs). This is tsantsee's statement: If your recorder has the ability to record in VR mode to RW discs, do that instead. Don't worry about finalizing. Insert the burned disc in your Mac and launch Toast. Choose DVD in the Toast Media Browser (it is a separate window from the main Toast window -- if you don't see it choose Show Media Browser from the Windows menu). Double-click on what appears in the browser window and drag your recordings from the browser to the main Toast window (either the Video window or the Convert window). Toast then will extract the video from the disc. When that is done you can eject the disc and proceed with what you want Toast to do with the video.
