Videowave - Drag And Drop

OldBean

Question

I've just upgraded to Creator NXT3 because I was having problems with moving photos around in videowave and now the same problem exists. I want to rearrange my photos and videos after downloading them from my pc. When I click on a photo (in the production storyline) and try to move it to another panel, nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

Then it will take a more complex version of an uninstall and reinstall:

Download and install the Revo Uninstaller. Then run it in Moderate Mode to remove any traces of Roxio.

Then turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc.

Now insert your Roxio Disc.

Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows)

When the Install completes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.

There is not answer for that, that we know of...

That was the next step in I would have suggested - you cheated by jumping to the end

Keep in mind you get 10 installs and then someone from Roxio will have to Reset your count.

Should that happen, just post in here and to get the name of the Moderator then send them a message. It is currently Rox-Ralf but always subject to change.

Most of us with 'Guru' attached to our name are the ghosts of versions past -_- But we will know who is in charge.

Just to make sure we are on the same page, I want to show you two examples of what it should work like - one in Storyline and the other in Timeline.

Storyline:

I want to more this picture over to the cockpit picture:

I put the cursor on the one I want to move and HOLD down the left mouse button

You can see it is selected by the dashed line around it

I drag it to the picture I want it to be IN FRONT of and release.

You can see the drag indication but the label with the file name was not captured

Timeline:

I decided I want the cockpit picture in front of the selfie.

So I grab (left mouse button hold) the selfie - note the grab cursor

Black dashed line is the one selected for moving

Yellow solid outline is the frame it will go in front of

Drag it over...

And Drop it

It is harder to see in Timeline but that is how it should look.

What happens when you try this in yours?

In Storyline, the photo has a dashed line round it, but does not move when I try to drag it somewhere else. However, in Timeline, I can make it work, but it is so hard to see where to place it because the panels are mostly photos and, therefore, very close together. I still don't understand why it doesn't work in Storyline.

FIRST - make sure you are keeping your finger firmly down and your mouse is on a solid mat or surface (once dumped many files somewhere on a network server when mouse ran off the mat)
(You are likely doing it right but it never hurts to revisit the basics ;) )

Next thing to try is to do a proper repair - Repair does not count against your Install Count of 10.

First thing to do is to turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc.

Now insert your Roxio Disc (or run your download)

Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows)

When you reach the screen where Repair is offered, choose that!

When the Repair completes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.
