Toast 14 Vs Toast 14 Pro

I am looking at the Toast 14 vs Toast 14 Pro comparison at http://www.roxio.com/enu/products/toast/#compare

There are three Blu-Ray features I want to focus on:

  1. "Author HD video to Blu-ray Discs"
  2. "Burn to Blu-ray"
  3. "Create Blu-ray video discs"

Only the last one is supported on Toast 14 (via the extra cost plug-in) but all three are in Toast 14 Pro.

  1. What's the difference between #1 and #3?
  2. What does #2 mean? That’s vague. I'm equally interested in data backup as well as video creation.
  3. Am I missing anything Blu-Ray features by only having Toast 14 + plugin?

#1 #2 and #3 are interrelated.

#1 - it will allow you to create HD DVD video that will be burn to Blu-ray disc

#2 - it will allow you to do data back up to Blu-ray

#3 - it will allow you to create Blu-ray disc project that is playable on Blu-ray player.

All these features are included in the separate plugin.

Thanks a bunch for the quick reply.

So the comparison chart is a little misleading and, in fact, the plug-in provides it all. Good to know!
