Okay, I will again explain how I got Photoshow to work and still working, but it takes some work. I initially backed up all my files to another drive, formatted my hard drive, and then reinstalled Windows 8. Do not install all of the Windows updates right away, you have to find out which ones will kill your photoshow. Do not install Windows 10, it will kill your Photoshow. Once you have downloaded your Photoshow (The online version doesn't work all that great, so download the Roxio Photoshow 6 from your online software downloads in "My Account" section. Now turn off your automatically download and install function in your Windows Updates and change it to "Check for updates, but let me decide to download and install" Go to your System Restore and Manually create a restore point. Now start installing your updates 10 at a time. After those 10 are installed and your computer has restarted check to see if your Photoshow still works. If it does, create a new restore point before downloading and installing the next 10 updates. Keep doing this until you find which updates kill Photoshow, restore your computer to the last restore point and right click and hide the offending update. Once you have all your Windows 7 or Windows 8 updates complete, the hard work is over. As new updates arrive, be sure to create a restore point before installing them and check if your Photoshow still works. Initially this takes awhile, but once you get the 200 or so updates cleared maintaining is routine. Works for me. Just remember to hide any Windows 10 updates.

On Windows 7, photoshow does not transfer properly when converting to video mpg file. The music is there but the photos are not.

It also takes much longer than it used to for a file conversion.

When I said "same thing" I should have said that all my OS are now having some sort of trouble with photoshow. RPS worked really well for me for a few years up until very recently. Windows 7, Windows 8.1 & windows 10.

PhotoShows with Windows 7 - images not being displayed is often caused by too high a resolution of the images. Use a photo editor to reduce the image resolution to 720 by 480. Before you complain, PhotoShow does only standard definition videos so the images will be reduced to that size anyway.

One of the recent W10 updates caused all the problems with other programs used by PhotoShow. Once that update is on your computer, there is not much you can do about it. Look at the almost replacement for PhotoShow -- it is Corel's Fast Flix in combination with YouTube or other.

Once you get all your on-line PhotoShows downloaded to your computer, you can convert them and then think about cancelling your membership.

The image size/resolution is fine. I have used the same resolutions before.

Besides, The photoshows are already completed. It took a few hours to get it just right with the timing of the music. It would take way to long to redo.

How do I download them from online to my PC if I cannot get the desktop version to work properly?

That is what I am trying to do and failing miserably. I even tried to do a screen shot of the video using Corel screen capture but the quality is not good.

Also, I am not a fan of Corel Fast Flix. I tried it and it is very limited for what I need done. RPS had its flaws too, but the end results have always been fabulous.

I can't argue with you about it being a great program.

If you can't get the desktop version to work, then try one of the share options on the on-line version. I have no other suggestions.

Is this what your on-line share options look like -- no HTML options?

StephenKo says this :

"Roxio Photoshow will not work with Windows 10. I reverted back to Windows 8/8.1 and it worked fine until I did the Windows Updates. Once I did the updates (156 of them) the Photoshow window would not open or Windows crashed. I worked on this all day and found the culprit, and Roxio support doesn't even know this one. DO NOT install Windows Security Update (kb3087040) It will kill your Photoshow! I tested it by removing it and it worked again. All other updates worked fine."

The update is for Adobe Flash Player.

NOTE : Uninstalling that update did not fix PhotoShow for me. Ininstalling, rebooting and reinstalling Flash Player did not help. Contact Roxio/Corel directly for help. This is a users group.

EDIT: Note that installing PhotoShow in any compatibility mode did not fix the problem for me.

Hi , I have been using Roxio PhotoShow desktop with Windows 10 just fine fro about two months with no issues up until two days ago. I cannot get it to open. I tried re downloading and it just doesn't open anymore.

Any suggestions?

Also, I made a photoshow using the online process but i cannot get the file to save to MP4 either.

I need to make a digital copy and some DVD copies.

Neither process seems to be working anymore.

I have not made any changes to my PC. just regular updates.

please help

I hope you see the oxymoron paradox in your two sentences above. "Regular updates" are of course, changes.

I would suggest you look into your add/remove options and start working backwards, removing the most recent "regular updates" to figure out which one of them broke PhotoShow.

With any luck, someone else may drop in here and know which update may have caused the problem.

Thanks, But I wouldn't even know where to start in order to find out which update is the culprit. There have been so many in the past two months.

I tried using another PC that has Windows 7 and the same thing happens.

I have two PC's that run Windows 10 & one with Windows 7. Same problem on all PC's.

If anyone knows how to get a digital file from an online show, please let me know. The MP4 download does not work on either. I need this ASAP. Please help.
