Roxio Gamecap Hd Pro Not Working



Hey guys ! So I recently purchased a ROXIO gamecap HD pro for recording on my PS4, my laptop runs windows 8.1. So everything runs fine and works well until I actually go to open the recording software at which point the screen cuts out on my TV and says that there is no signal and on the recording preview it flashes blue and static, if I close the software everything goes back to normal and the picture returns to the TV. Are there any suggestions as to what to do ? I already contacted roxio and did everything they said to and it still hasn't changed. HELP!!!!

Well, since you didn't tell us what the folks at Roxio told you to do, anything we say here may be a repeat. But, the first couple of things to do is to make sure you have HDCP turned off on PS4. (That's a copy protection signal so that the Roxio Game Capture HD Pro knows not to capture anything.) The second thing is to make sure you have manually set the output of the PS4 to be a specific resolution, such as 1080i, or 720p. If you don't tell it what to output, when it connects to the RGC HD Pro, it doesn't know what to set as the output, and keeps bouncing around. So make sure those are set, and let us know how you make out.
