0 Ron57
I don't want a menu on my video.. Please give back the check box that was in NXT 3 that took the menu off. I agree. All the functionality has been removed from MYDVD and it should now be called MYCRAP. Reinstall Roxio NXT 3 and forget about ever upgrading this software again. I had my Roxio NXT 4 for almost an hour before I returned it. I am now using Roxio NXT 3.
0 grandpabruce
It would appear that, since Corel bought out Roxio, 3 or 4 years ago, they are phasing out, or raping the old Roxio programs, so that they are no longer good alternatives to the Corel programs. I would load, if you have it, any version of the software, prior to any of the NXT versions. The Roxio software is no longer useful software. If you are a longtime Roxio software, the suites now are severely inferior to what you have had in the past.
0 Floridaguy
Just upgraded to NXT 4 (Standard Edition) because my previous product wouldn't burn an iso file - just ended up with and empty DVD. Support said it was because I had updated to Windows 10 and that NXT 4 was Windows 10 compatible. MyDVD can't even recognize any of my previous iso files. Also, when I try to use MyDVD it only wants to let me add video files and not any jpg files as before. I used to mix video and jpg files to create a DVD of trips but can't seem to do it with this new version. Anybody know what's up with this new version of MyDVD? As Bruce posted, myDVD is now useless with all of its useful features having been removed. Of course no previous version of myDVD would recognize an iso file since it is not a video file
0 d_deweywright
And to mix your still, .JPG images with Video, you can still use VideoWave, which gives you a lot more options.
0 Jim_Hardin
Yes you are going to need to do all your 'work' in VideoWave before transferring to MyDVD... You can Burn an ISO from MyDVD though: The little disc symbol at the bottom right Photos and Movies can be added in the "Magic Mode" but you lose other functions in there It is really a poor package when you know what it used to be
0 Floridaguy
What part, of the above posts, did you fail to read? Guess since this is my first post I must have missed it all, however, I have read them all now and don't see any indication of anyone using Windows 10 (which is how I got stuck with NXT 4 (see initial post) - because none of my other versions were compatible) - so, if I were to follow the "reload any product prior to NXT 4" advice I suppose I need to get rid of Windows 10 also -correct? You do understand that you can still mix stills & video with NXT4 and it will burn ISO files as well as convert them into usable video files??? VideoWave is used to Create your Project and then output it to a video file that MyDVD or Copy & Convert can use. MyDVD will create a 'no menu' looping video if you add the video as an intro and don't add anything to the menus. (accidental behavior I'm sure ) Turns out this is not true... Work up your project in VideoWave and use Video Copy and Convert to make a DVD Movie or Blue-Ray. Copy and Convert will accept ISO files and again output them to a video format you can use. Lastly you can directly burn ISO files using Burn Disc Image. I am not pretending that NXT4 has the full capabilities that previous versions had, but for most uses it can be made to work If you have specific questions, please start a New Topic and we will be happy to address them Edited June 19, 2016 by Jim_Hardin 6/16 Correction
0 JSJR
With Creator 2012 MYDVD, I had a checkbox in the settings that would allow me to play all/several clips without returning to the main menu. Now with NXT4, I have to select each clip from the main menu to play the next one. Is there a similar setting with NXT4?

0 sknis
Dumb down and consolidation ? Just for information, Roxio and Pinnacle both owned by Corel got the same "imrpoved" MyDVD. Corel has it in Video Studio 8 and probably X9 (but I can;t be sure.)

If you are talking about MyDVD and Chapters, that is not true of a DVD Movie. A 'Chapter' will allow you to jump to that designated part of the movie and from there it will play to the end, unless you specifically designate its' "After Playing" behavior under More Settings. NXT 4 does allow you to set Chapters, and they will have a Chapter Menu. What is missing is the ability to have Chapters without a Chapter Menu and the whole After Playing selections Likewise missing are is the ability to use the Markers you can set in VideoWave These could be converted in MyDVD into Chapter Markers but that is gone in NXT 4... Custom Text? Adjust? Edit? You can 'edit' the text. You can 'adjust' it's position. (button location) If by Custom Text you mean utilize a typeface that was not included, no but you never could do that But you are stuck with the typeface provided as well as the button style
