Blue Screen Of Death

Question

When Roxio's video capture USB device is plugged into my computer's USB port; a BSOD occurs immediately. Three times in a row(boots in between) it happen.

 

Error message from Windows 10 (1511) Pro was:

 

1st time:

Driver_Power_State_Failure

Booted computer

2nd time:

Bad_Pool_Header

Booted computer

3rd time:

Paged_Fault_In_Nonpaged_Area

Nice work! I had forgotten about that one, but made a note! ;)

It is a little extensive but I would suggest this way:

Unplug your Roxio Capture Device and put it aside until you are completely finished.

Download and install the Revo Uninstaller. Then run it in Moderate Mode to remove any traces of Roxio.

Then turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc.

Now insert your Roxio Disc.

Don't accept the offer to Check for Updates - we'll do this later

When the Install completes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.

Now apply the Win 10 update and reboot again.

See what that does.
