Getting Just A Black Screen With Roxio Gamecap Hd Pro From Ps4

Question

hello i need help. i just received my ROXIO GAMECAP HD PRO today and the only signal i seem to get from the device is a black screen.. I am trying to get my computer to recognize the signal from my ROXIO which is hooked up to the PlayStation4 System via HDMI cables. The pass-through seems to be working as I can see my gameplay on tv screen, and the roxio software and xsplit are both recognizing the ROXIO but the only video i get is a black box in both programs from the device.. please help. thanks.

The problem is likely one or two display issues...

Most likely is you don't have your PS4 output set to a fixed resolution. - don't know what they call it, but an auto setting of any type will not work!

The other one is your video card software settings. Set everything to default, reboot.

Let us know ;)

Video Output Settings

You can set up the output from the PS4™ system's HDMI OUT port. By default, this is set to automatically match the TV you connect. If any manual adjustments are needed, select [sound and Screen] > [Video Output Settings].

  • Resolution

In addition to [Automatic], 4 resolutions can be set.

  • TV Size

This is displayed only when a 3D-compatible TV is connected. You can set the screen size to match the 3D-compatible TV you use.

  • RGB Range

Change this only when you use an HDMI device that does not send RGB range information correctly.

  • Deep Color Output

Change this setting only if video is not displayed properly.
