Toast 14 Does Not Burn Song Titles

When I burn an audio CD, Toast 14 does not write the track names of the songs on the disc. It writes only Track 01, Track 02, etc. The titles of the songs are fully shown in my list of songs to be burned.

If you have checked the Add CD-TEXT checkbox, then Toast will burn some track information along with the audio, which SOME cd players can read back (most notably car audio units).

Computer CD players usually do NOT read back CD-TEXT, and may use a different trick to get track information on the fly: The player software or the OS may try to match the number of tracks and their duration to a database on the internet (Gracenote or similar), and use the resulting information to give more detailed information on an audio CD. Once identified and annotated (iTunes) audio CDs will have their information also copied locally on your hard disk, like cache information for the next time.

 

I seem to recall there was an AppleScript script to transfer track information between Toast and iTunes (so that you don't have to enter it twice), but I do not know its current status or where to get it.

Then your Toast is burning correctly. Look at any commercial audio CD, and you will see the same thing.
