Hi,

I am still struggling but being a beginner with NXT4 I am still having difficulties in Burning a DVD.

How do I do it directly from Videowave. My project is complete. I just want to burn it to a DVD from Videowave.

I get to MYDVD but that is as far as I can get to create the DVD how I want to. I can drag the original clips, but this only takes about four clips at a time, and thy are the non edited ones from my file.

I just want to go from Videowave directly to create a DVD to play back on my TV for friends and family.

I never had any difficulty previous to upgrading to NXT4. I am no computer expert to simple language would help.

Thank you for your advice. At least I know now. If you can guide me through the next phase I would be grateful.

In "prepare for authoring" I create an MPG File. How do I get this file as an ISO, or is it OK just to leave it as a MPG.

Why do you want to create an iso image file?

I'm glad to see this post because I am having the same problem. We say " .iso file" because that is what we know from productions created, saved and burned from older versions of Roxio. Is an .mpg file the same thing as an .iso file? I have a video wave production created in an oder version of creator and it is a .dmsm file. It comes up on NXT4 Videowave to edit just fine but the old method of "send to my dvd" is changed. Digital Guru explained that we go to "Output/prepare for authoring." It goes through the encoding or render process. Where do we then take the resulting .mpg file to burn to a DVD? And where is the"NXT4 for Dummies" book or some helpful instruction manual that gives step by step info!?

Oh Joy! Thank you all for your help! I was successful! Why Roxio turned this simple one-step process into multi steps I don't know. But it does load and save much faster now than the older Roxio version I was using. Newbie Bill, did you have any luck? If not, I can give you the step by step... Patty
