My trusty Creator NXT PRO 2013 has always produced good results when making a dvd production , but now when i create a dvd the playback has poor picture quality ,and it seems it is dropping frames as it is a little jerky , have tried differant branded discs but still the same outcome....any advice welcome please.

Many thanks for the replies , have just hit the 85 age milestone and the little grey cells have probs adjusting to all the new techie knowledge that abounds these days.

I use the Roxio prog for making family dvd's , a lot of its content is over my head but i get by.

After reading a few posts online i went for a re-instal , did not realise that you only get a certain amount of re -instals before the licence key is invalid , and over the 3 years i have had the software i have done it many times with the changing of pc desktops ,etc.

So after un-installing it i tried to re-instal ,but it said invalid licence key, aghhhhhhhhhhhh

I then contacted Roxio helpdesk who sent me the reply below, am a bit miffed as i paid good money for the program and one would expect it to be still usable after 3 years (although i realise that support for it would be ended sometime) even after a Windows upgrade ,surely Roxio could have devised a patch or similar to enable its usage, or its that just the wishful thinking of a ageing silver surfer ?

Seems like i will have to put the Roxio NXT 4 software on my next birthday list ....thats if i get there ! :(

Thank you for contacting Corel Customer Support.

I do apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused you. However, the product you are inquiring about is no longer supported and is now considered as obsolete software. The latest version now is Roxio Creator NXT Pro 4 (Compatible with Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10). Also, Roxio Creator Nxt Pro ( 2013 ) is not compatible with Windows 10. Your best option is to upgrade.

That is a poor response. We have (had) a Roxio person who could reset your install count. I'll see if he is still available. Wait a day or so.

By the way if you update to Window 10, the program won;t work. Take a look at the new issues with NXT 4. before you put it on your gift list.

How about giving us some more information on exactly what you are doing?

So what program are you really using? You posted in the "MyDVD Video Lab and MyDVD Premier" forum but state you have always used Creator NXt Pro 2013. Since there is no such program it gets a bit confusing

While you are gathering that info that Walt asked for, here are a couple more things we will need...

Poor quality can be from the Source you are using, can't make video better if it is poor to start with.

Output settings for quality naturally effect the output.

Slow and skipping can be cause by using the Hardware or Software setting of Render (Tools - Options). Find whatever it is set on and switch it to the other!

But it can also show up due to multitasking too much as well as a HDD that is getting full or badly fragmented.

Lot of stuff but let us know ;)
