Hello

When I add transition between two video clips, the audio does not sound good from one clip to another clip.I mean there interference of audio between two video clip. Any Idea.

Post the correct full name of the Roxio software you are using so it can be moved to the appropriate forum.

Most likely you have adjusted your transition time to something like 3 seconds???

A "transition" isn't a separate piece that is inserted but draws from both sides of the clip around it. Notice that the Production Length never changes when you add transtions. Likewise that is why you can never add one before the first clip or after the last one. They would have nothing to work with ^_^

That said, what can we do? You can add 'filler' by placing a color panel before and after the transition point. These panels should each be 1/2 the length of the transition. This creates 2 silent portons. By adjusting the time of these panels (trim) you can get it to come out as you intend.

You can also go into the Native Audio Track of each clip and add a point or two to force the volume down early on the preceding clip.

In general audio interference cannot be avoided when you add a transition between video clips since a transition is usually created by overlapping the beginning of the 2nd clip with the end of the 1st clip. The only way to avoid the interference is to fade out the audio of the first clip while fading in the audio of the 2nd clip.

Jim, actually the production length is usually shortened when you add a transition because of the overlapping of the adjacent clips.

I don't ant to loose audio from any clips (before transition or after transition). How do I place color panel before & after transition point.

It is odd that today's software can't do what my first camcorder could do.

My 1980 RCA had a fade button that added a fade in when you start or a fade out when you stopped.

We have explained some of the options but based on what you have described up to now, I don't think it can be done. I don't think that you really understand what a transition is or how it can work.

If you want the audio to continue at normal levels to end of clip then start into the next clip at normal level. Why bother with a transition if you're going to make such an abrupt change

The only way to hold the audio level and fade the video is clip-transition-color panel-transition-clip.

Try it instead of overthinking it.
