NOT available!

All you can do is install your original disc and go from there...

I believe (never tried it) that in you do that and try Help - Check for updates it will offer something other than SP 2.0.

of course I can't post without asking why? :lol:In my opinion, SP2 is the latest and greatest for RGC.

the version pre 2.0 lets you stream gameconsoles without the need for a HDCP stripper.

atleast my model of the hd pro allows it.

but when i install 2.0 that possibility is removed.

so before i always updated my software to the version just before 2.0.

but recently they seem to have changed this and go straight to 2.0 when you try to update.

OK, your reason makes sense, at least to someone who has never streamed and doesn't own a game console ;)

But since SP 2 came out back in 10/14, how come no one else has had this issue

Maybe a complete description of your system, what you have for a console and the games you have this issue with?

its not realy a big issue but it would save me some money to not have to buy something to remove the HDCP encryption.

its for streaming gameplay from a Playstation TV (for video games) and those are HDMI only.

with the default software from the disc i can bypass the HDCP even though it says signal protected.

but the default software/driver is buggy, the audio goes out of sync if i dont patch it.

but when patched to 2.0 and higher the HDCP is properly enabled and i get a black screen on the roxio software and my OBS streaming software.

example below from the software before 2.0 ( the second screenshot is the software i use for streaming )

Uninstall it if you have the original disc reinstall it then run the patch you downloaded SP 1.1.

yes i have the original disk, i'll try it.

again thanks for tying to help.

HDMI carries HDCP encoding and was always in the RGC software.

PS3 is the first to have only HDMI with HDCP encoding. It can be turned OFF within the setting of the PS3.

Lastly:

HDMI to Component Converter:

Radioshack model 1500549 works

there is no need for converters, the old software lets me bypass hdcp. as shown in my screenshots above.

just needed the stability patches just before 2.0 thats all. anyway thanks for trying to help.

Jim, I'm pretty sure the PS3 HDCP couldn't be turned off. It was the PS4 that got a patch to allow HDCP encoding to be disabled.
