Walt Maken
I successfully did the RIP function with 4 cd's, converting the commercial cd's to MP3 with no problem. I moved on to another cd by a different artist. Specifically, this cd https://www.amazon.com/Winds-Have-Changed-Eric-Genuis/dp/B001I94ED6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1468322588&sr=8-1&keywords=eric+genuis. Per the attached, I keep getting the "cannot save tracks at your selected location" error. Also, per the second attachment, while doing the Rip shows the track names, it does not show the name of the album or the name of the artist. Does anyone have any idea what might be the problem with this particular cd?
sknis
You indicated which album BUT was it as new commercial album or from a previously ripped one? It might have a special copy protection on it. I have never seen a "flim" designation.
d_deweywright
Actually, check your save path, you have, "F:\WaltMaken\Music\CD4MP3\ \My CD..." See that empty or blank folder name in the middle there, right after "CD4MP3"? (Bolded, in red.) I think Windows is complaining about that part of the path. Walt Maken
Thank you for your responses. I was able to solve the problem by using the Rip - Advanced instead of just the Rip .
Walt Maken
P.S. Dewey, you made a good point about the missing part of the path. And I noticed that when I was trying to use the Rip function. However, and unfortunately, that missing part of the path is part of the path that was automatically generated one I browsed and clicked on the CD4MP3 folder I had created. Roxio added the \ \My CD and there was nothing I could do to alter that. However, using the Rip - Advanced, everything works great. Thanks again for your time and thoughts.
