Ottawasheriff Posted August 18, 2016 Report Share Posted August 18, 2016 I have two Sony Cameras neither of them work with my new Creator NXT4 window 10 , Firewire IEEE1394 need legacy driver can not find it any where, the other camera uses USB to transfer video also does not work . Jim_Hardin Posted August 19, 2016 Report Share Posted August 19, 2016 Win 10 does indeed support Firewire (1394) LINK You may need to envoke the Legacy drivers for it - HERE And keep in mind that your Host Controller must have drivers that Win 10 can use... USB does not capture without a capture device and specific software like Roxio's EVD hardware/software package. And that one is limited to Standard Definition capture while you are playing your camcorder. With USB connected directly to a camcorder you can only Copy digital video files over to your PC. From there you can do what you want with them. Explore these ideas but if they don't work, let us know. And please include you specific Make and Model of your camcorder.
