Easy Cd Data Backup And Restore

Question

My Windows 7 OS recently got corrupted. I backed up my data using a version of Easy CD purchased in 2013/14 from Best Buy on 10 DVDs. I wiped the computer and did a new install of the OS, I recently purchased the newest version of Easy CD from Roxio website and downloaded it. I cannot find where I can restore my data in the new program. It has a backup and restore icon but it does not give me the option to restore only to create a new backup, (Just to clarify this is not a disk image it is data backup). I have tried copying the data from the DVD to the computer and opening it but it will not recognize the files.

Anyone have any instructions or additional downloads that can help with this issue.

As an example the folders on the DVD appear in the following order:

RBackupSets

RProject_10 (There were 10 projects/dvds)

BackupSet then a date and number assigned

C

Users

Then a file that is listed as Users%%%Stream

Thanks

Searay,

You will need to restore your backup with the same software that you made the backup with. That is always the case when you use proprietory backup software.

You do still have it, don't you?

You have posted in the Easy CD & DVD Burning forum, but that's not the software you made the backup with.

Easy CD & DVD Burning up until 2014 had BackOnTrack, and this is what the disc looks like

Easy CD & DVD Burning after 2014 (the latest version) has the backup software removed altogether.

So can you tell us please, what is the Roxio software you used, that you're calling "Easy CD"??

Given that info we might be able to help you, even if you have erased your software.

Regards,

Brendon
