I am only new to using the product but through trial and error I found that you must have the DVD in the PC before it will work. You must also hover your mouse over the record button at bottom right and at the same time press play on the VCR. This way you won't miss the beginning. I can't help you on the editing yet.

Realize you are new, but what you posted does not have any bearing on Ron's Topic that he has not followed up with.

No, not really correct! You are describing the Record DVD.

Not really.

That is not what you even want to use. Stick to Record, Edit and Save so you can trim out what you don't' want later and even enhance the capture.

Record DVD might be for a quick and dirty VERY short clip you have. But you will be disappointed it your capture fails or the disc authoring/writing fails and you see all the time you wasted to get there ;)

Browse through here as well as the Forums for earlier versions as a lot of info has been posted detailing many things you haven't even thought to ask yet.

But questions or just brain storming are always welcome! Just start a new topic instead of crashing into someone Else's -_-
