How To Compress Bluray Video File To Dvd

Looking to see if I can convert a bluray image file (that I saved to hard drive) & burn on DVD. I've tried to use Copy & Convert.

 

This is what doesn't work

 

Went to Add Source > movies > Found file on hard drive (15.5 GB) > it cached file > and showed up in "Source" box . Output method to DVD but it doesn't want to compress file to fit on DVD.

 

The whole reason I upgraded to 5 Pro was because the customer service rep said this is what I needed for this task.

 

Any help would be great.

TIME! (size is meaningless)

 

A DVD holds 1 hour at HQ an 8.5 will hold 2 hours at HQ.

 

Test I just tried was a very short BD but worked fine using your description.

 

Supply more info (time) and I would be glad to give it a try.
