Question

Hello,

So, I am running NXT5 on Win7 & it says there's a new update available but it will not install.

it says: "Your version is out of date"

Then tells me to download this: Creator NXT 5 SP1(16430.0 KB)

creator_nxt5_patch_1.0.exe (15.6 MB)

When I run the .exe I get a window that says "ready to patch" from version 180B45C to 180B45I and to click start to proceed... but then gen an error box that says:

cannot delete target file:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Roxio Shared\Security Library\slmfc.dll

... so i hit the ok button and nothing happens... it will not patch me up.

What gives???

I got the same thing when I tried it the "normal" way...

But by closing NXT 5 Pro and running the Patch directly from the download file, it worked

You then have to reboot to see that the Build has changed from R13; 180B22Axxx to R14; 180B22Axxx

Try it that way and see what you get ;)

That worked! Thank you!

AtlanticVideography,

Don't expect the "R" number to change. R14 is Creator NXT Pro 5, while R13 is the Standard Creator NXT 5.

The main thing is that this patch installs some new drivers, so you shouldn't have Creator actually running when you apply it.

thanks... i do have one other issue... i have not checked the forums yet, but...

my "record your screen" does not work... i get some kind of error: "Prepare Record Failed!!! #48"

Being able to record my screen is definitely one of the reasons I upgraded. :)
