As with so many others, having trouble getting this product to work as advertised. After fits and starts finally have my project in MyDVD ready to burn. It kept freezing when I tried to burn a DVD at first so tried creating an iso image. After 8 hours I gave up on that, and then when I restarted saw there was an updated. Downloaded that and restarted and made some seeming progress.
However, when I click the burn button, I can't get MyDVD to recognize a disc. If I click before a disc is in and then insert I can momentarily get the Burning Disc and progress indicator (always at 0%) before it tells me to insert a disc. I do that, get the Apple message about deciding what to do with the disc, and no matter what I choose MyDVD say there's no compatible disc in the drive and the Apple message will keep appearing if I say Ignore.
If I have the disc in before clicking the burn button, press Ignore to the Apple window, that window keeps appearing and disappearing and I still get the No compatible disc in drive message. If I select Open in Finder in the Apple message then press burn, same thing happens, the Apple message keeps popping up and I get the No compatible disc in drive message.
The disc shows up fine in the Finder, I've burned these same discs with Toast and other programs, but I can't find a way to get MyDVD to recognize them.
And please don't tell me to do it in Toast, I'm trying to do something that looks a little better and more professional than what Toast does on it's own. I only paid for the upgrade because iDVD won't burn successfully in MacOS Sierra (but it does recognize a DVD when it's in the drive).

Hopeful for solutions and thanks in advance.
