for those of you out there with the same problems as me ie after uninstalling EMC8 and trying to reinstall EMC7

there is a solution not from roxio but the sonic web site download the sonic engine updater and as if by magic drives appear and everything is working again

this is after i have spent 4 weeks trying out roxio solutions and gtting nowhere!!

I had the same problem. Roxio did not detect my cd-rom drive when I tried to burn an audio file.

The fix is found by downloading and running an update to the sonic record engine:
