Getting Install Errors

After installing EMC 8.0 and having problems with it crashing my system, I decided to go back to 7.0. I have the disk.

I uninstalled 8.0 and rebooted. I inserted the disk and I proceeded to get the error: _is2B.tmp is having a problem and must close.

I tried again and it gave me: _is4.tmp is having a problem and must close.

I checked the registery and saw nothing for EMC (per a previous post). I also ran the Windows Installer CleanUp and nothing from EMC showed up for me to clean.

I'm at my wits end. 8.0 is a dog and I've successfully wasted $79 on it and now I have nothing on my PC at all.

If there's anyone out there that can help me, I would truly be grateful! :)

Hi skculver,

try using this tool below and after it has done its thing go in and manualy delete the folders under Program Files, then reboot and try installing again.

Roxio Zip Programe

Also make sure you dont have any other products that have packet writing aspects in them , even older versions of ECDC or similer.....

see if that helps
