Question

Everytime I tried to login to Twitch via Roxio Gamecap HD Pro software, I keep getting an error message saying that Roxio Gamecap stopped working. So it exits me out. When I tried again, same thing. I realized that Roxio discontinued the Livestream feature.

It has not been discontinued.

'Stopped working' is a software crash reported to you by Windows.

Suggest you download the SP2 update, turn off any AV and run it. DON'T do any other updates after that, just reboot and try it.

Otherwise you did tell me in a message that OBS was working. That may be the way you will have to go...

Sorry to wake sleepy thread but I might have found a solution.

If SP 2.1 update did not resolve your issue, try doing the following.

1. Open Game Capture HD Pro and go to Capture.

2. Click on Tools > Options.

3. Log into twitch tv and let it crash.

4. Open Registry Editor. (Windows key + R then type "regedit" without quotes)

5. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Roxio/Game1X/MediaImport/AVCapture/Config

6. You should see an entry for "Stream Key"

7. Open your Browser and Log into Twitch.tv

8. Go to Dashboard > Settings > Steam key and get your Steam key. (note: do not share your stream key to anyone.)

9. Copy your Stream Key and go back to Registry Editor.

10. Double click the StreamKey registry entry to show Edit String window.

11. On the Value data: field, paste your Stream Key from your account.

12. Click OK.

13. After you have done this, try launching Game Capture HD Pro again and click Capture. Check if your account is logged in automatically. If so, you can now live stream on Twitch.tv.

Take note: It is important NOT to modify any other settings or keys in your registry. Do not edit anything aside from the StreamKey. If this works for anyone, let us know here. This worked for me btw.

-I'm not sure if these changes will be saved after a restart.
