Ok. So before u ask. Yes ive tried re-installing and device manager and all that. When I re-install with no update i get this error

 

 

 

And when I do update it. I get the error "UNKNOWN CAPTURE". The device works. It shows up on my tv and the device lights up. And I know that my PC can run it because I ran it about 3 weeks ago.

Try this first:

 

First thing to do is to turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc.

Unplug your RGC Device and put it aside until you are completely finished.

Now insert your Roxio Disc.

When you reach the screen where Repair is offered, choose that!

When the Repair completes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot

weird i put disk in and it doesnt give me a repair option just reinstalls

What does that mean? ~ your laptop doesn't work, the repair process doesn't work, etc.???

 

You didn't even tell us what OS you are running.

 

Open up your Device Manager (Win-Pause upper left). In there expand Sound, Video and Game Controllers.

 

Make sure the device is not plugged in, then plug in the device and tell us what changes.

 

Not that it helps, but I have seen this before but never made a note about cause and fix I will this time
