Roxio Hd Pro Green No Signal

Miyukiai

Question

Hi, I hope this is the right thread, I'm new here. I've managed to use my Roxio HD last year without any problems so I know it does work, however it's been a while and I am having struggle setting it up again.

Basically, I have input HDMI to the console (Wii U), output HDMI to the TV, and output USB to my PC. I am getting an image on my TV screen, but not on my PC screen. Instead, the screen is black and the status says "no signal" in green.

The source, input, and settings are all blank and don't have any options to choose from.

I have attached a screenshot of the Roxio Capture software.

Would appreciate any help, thanks in advance! :)

The green 'No Signal" means the RGC Device is not recognized by your PC.

Open your Device Manager (Win-Pause - Device Manager- Sound and Video Controller), Plug & Unplug the capture device and see what entries show up.

Help me

Here's some stuff. ..,,,..,,,...,.., I suggest you put them in your post #5 at pauses and breaks in your single sentence to make your message understandable for the people trying to read it.

You said in post #3 that you had the same problem as the original poster. Are you now saying it's different so Ogdens' answer doesn't apply to you? This is very confusing.

You should probably have started your own topic rather than taking over Miyukiai's topic, but since you're here would you please give a coherent summary of your problem?

CHWS2: I think eliasjakzy has posted in several Topics and someone combined them and put them all here... Confusing, a bit, but his description in Post #5 really sums it up.

eliasjakzy: The Green 'No Signal' means that the Software does not see the capture device! It is interesting that you say you cannot click on anything in the capture window??? I just tried mine and ever in the green no signal state, the menu bar items (File, Tool & Help) respond as well as the three icons in the Recent Captures bar.

Notice in my picture, ignore the text, that the three menu bar items are bright white indicating they are active. In your screen cap, they are subdued. That points to a software issue and when fixed the other issue should go away.

We are going to remove both hardware and software and reinstall, but you must do it exactly like I describe or it will never work

Open the Device Manager and expand Sound Video and Game Controllers. Now plug in the device. My guess is that if it doesn't showup there, you will see a Transcoder entry show up elsewhere. If so click it and press delete. Now remove the device and hide it so you won't touch it again till we are done!

Download (save) the SP2 update from here - up top, Support - Software Updates.

Unplug your RGC Device and put it aside until you are completely finished.

Download and install the Revo Uninstaller. Then run it in Moderate Mode to remove any traces of Roxio.

Then turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc.

Now open (run) the SP2 Update to install the software.

Don’t do any updates at this time (get it running first)

When the Install completes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.

Now you can find the capture device and plug it in. It should work at this point.

Again, let me stress how important it is to follow this step by step and don't leave anything out.

I suspect that's a little like buying one brand of car, and having issues with it, and saying, "I'm going to go buy that (different) brand, then I won't have any problems for sure." I hope that solves your problem. If it doesn't you're welcome to come back and work through the problems you're having with the Roxio Capture device. At least Roxio has a forum where fellow users can help support one another.

hi, sorry for writing in such an old post, but i have the same problem. This post worked for me but just for a few seconds and then the capture card was gone... any idea what the cause or solution of this problem is?

I`ve already found the solution, just set the privacy settings for the camera and the microphone to allow apps to use them.

Worked for me.

I know that it would´ve been better to start a new thread but i searched for a solution an found this one an i dont think that i am the last one.

Sorry for posting again.
