Roxio Audio Issues

Swiftie4Life

Question

I havent messed with my roxio in a while, but when i installed it on to my laptop, it had updates all the way to 3.0. I installed all of them. The roxio is working perfectly fine.

Thing is. I have two different sets of audio outputs now. 1 is my normal one. The second one is DEMO TDA19978 (AMD High Definition Audio....) which i have figured out is basically the audio going to the capture card. But, when i have that selected, i cant hear my pc game audio. Or ANY pc audio. And if i switch it to my usual audio output so that I CAn hear, then the video capture has no audio.

So, how can i set this up to where i can hear my pc audio AND still have audio in my capture? Cuz i even tried plug in headsets and that dosent help either.

Yes. Exactly that way. Tho i cant get it to show up on BOTH screens. Just one or the other. And like i said, i get two output selections. One is when my gamecap is hooked up. So i get no audio to my headset. I get audio on the video. But if i select my normal output, i get the audio in my headset but not my video.

I was thinking of the White/Red Output ports of the the Component outputs. An adapter would work but before you buy one, confirm my guess with something that has those plugs ~ speaker sound system???

Sorry but I do not know a way to get audio out of a laptop when used as game player and recording at the same time

Where on the output? All there is is the hdmi port and the av cable ports.

Update: There is NOT a way to plug any sort of headset in the GameCap. I tried and i broke one of the freakin av ports.... I dont use them much anyways but still.... Dangit. All well.

I will try this out when im back home in a couple of days. I will update you when i try it.

Also, it may need to be noted that I have Windows 10. If that has any effect on anything or this possible fix. But i think that IS the same exact DEMO Playback device i get. So this just might work.

Sorry but I still don't have the complete picture...

You are using both a PC as well as Laptop, correct?

Which one are you playing the game you want to record on?

Which one are you recording on?

That USB connection goes to the device that you are recording on.

Right click on your Speaker Icon (lower right corner) and check Recording Devices to make sure the GameCAP is selected.
