I should have listened...

Mike_mn

Question

Just purchased NXT Pro 6 on 50% off at $69.  Thought I'd take the plunge.  My reasoning was that I can't continue to use 2012 Pro indefinitely, and will need to upgrade eventually.

Wow, what a mistake.  I should have listened (he says with a bowed head)

Like others have commented here, MyDVD is a former shadow of itself. WTH!

Videowave seems to be the same, with the addition of Motion Tracking/360...

And... wow... the documentation is pathetic and horrible.  The programs help often list a link for 'Online Help... which only goes to a page describing the very obvious!  I realize documentation has been very 'thin' for several versions... but really!  One would think there would be more detailed docs/tutorials for new features like Motion Tracking/360...  Some of this stuff is obvious.

Also, when i was testing the motion tracking, the program would freeze.  How to get out of it?  'End Task'.

Like Mr. Wonderful says on Shark Tank...  Roxio... Your dead to me.

Did you buy it directly from Roxio?   Unless they've changed their policy recently you can return it within 30 days for a refund without having to justify the return, if you bought it directly from them.

Wow, hat's right!  I'll contact them about a refund.  Thanks.

Keep using Creator 2012 Pro Mike !!!

Dang right!  I just finished cloning a Windows 7 64-bit Virtual machine that I'll be installing My Roxio 2012 Pro in.

If I could find a NXT Pro 3, I'd get that and see how it works.

Going forward, I think we will all have to find an alternative product...

Btw Mike you can install and run 2012 pro on a Windoes 10 pro OS too. I have been running it on my W10 Pro computer for some time now and have had no compatibilities or errors at all.

Yes I did.  I took your advice, and went thru the refund process by calling them. They refunded me with no questions asked!  They were not even interested why, which I found surprising.  Got my refund in the bank within 2 days!
