If by chance you plugged the GameCAP USB into your PC before you installed the software, Windows will automatically install the wrong drivers!!!!

If that is the case you have to delete them or it will never work! Plug the device in - go to Device Manager (Win-Pause keys) - identify the device under Sound, video and game controllers and Uninstall Device!

Now do the Short Version: (repair install)

First thing to do is to turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc.

Unplug your RGC Device and put it aside until you are completely finished.

Now insert your Roxio Disc.

Don’t do any updates at this time (get it running first)

When you reach the screen where Repair is offered, choose that!

When the Repair completes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.

Keep you fingers crossed and this should do it ;)

that's the thing I can open the app it flashes a couple times then crashes and I get a loud buzz threw my speakers this is the crash screen I get. I have contacted Roxio directly which gets me a run around I am almost tempted to take this out and use it as a skeet

Your error doesn't show 'What Failed'.

Did it show 'What Failed' when it completed and showed 100%?

Example below.

nope this is the only screen that shows up is that above nothing else I have rerached out to Roxio about the issues but they are slow responding they basicly want me to do a clean boot disable everything and try to install there software that they send me from google drive which my key doesn't work for so waiting for that then will try. if not I will pull warranty

Did you ever do a google search on the "APC INDEX MISMATCH" error message? It certainly happens often since the search shows 260,000 search results

That is a disappointment :(

I'd like you to take one more shot at this before you ask for your refund. Note: I am just a fellow user like yourself. If you don't want to do this, it won't have any effect on your refund status!

Up top under Support is Software Updates. For the Roxio GameCAP there is an SP2 update you can download. It is the Full Install! Download it per the instructions but do this first before trying to install it!

Unplug your RGC Device and put it aside until you are completely finished.

Download and install the Revo Uninstaller. Then run it inModerate Mode to remove any traces of Roxio.

Create a New User Account with Administrator Privileges.

Turn OFF any A/V & Firewall.

Reboot and log on to that new account.

Use the SP2 download and right click on Setup.exe and select Properties.

Under the Compatibility tab, make sure nothing is checked!

Right click Setup.exe and select Open.

Don't do any updates at this time (get it running first)

Use the Default Locations!

When the Install competes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.

This is the limit of my good guess's, I hope it works!

Thank you very much I will give this a try once I am home again.  Yes so far I have tried everything that they have asked.  And havent got any where.  Next step was maybe buying a new computer or a complete reinstall of windows and installing this before any thing else

You should not have to do any of that!
