Toast 17 Pro stalls on compressing Video_TS folder

I have a video_ts file I'm trying to burn to a DVD-R. I've selected the appropriate settings, pressed Burn, and it goes to the compressing dialog, indicates it may take a while, but stays on zero for 24 hours. I have the latest updated Toast 17 Pro and am running Mac OS 10.14.3. I have not had this problem with previous versions of Toast.

Wow, I am so disappointed in this version of Toast.  Toast 16 worked great, but this one just doesn't work with Mohave at all.  If Roxio says it works with Mojave, then imo it should, but I think the company is just selling a product and then later try and find a fix.  Why not make the product work before putting it on the market for sale.  I think this will be my last purchase of their products.  I'm now shopping for another burning program with less complications that roxio creates for the consumers.

I am always having to force quit the program because it always stalls on the compressing the files.  I'm sure roxio knew about this issue, but they should have fixed it before putting it out on the market for sale to the consumers.

I am very disappointed with version 17 and the response I have gotten so far from customer service:

"I understand that you're having issues/concern with our Toast product.

This error is caused by the burner having issues burning to your disc. Either the burner or the disc is faulty.

The clue is:

sense key = medium

Sense key refers to the burner sensor and medium refers to the Media or the disc. Try to use a different or a new disc or a different brand of disc. If that didn't work, try using an external burner.

Please do not hesitate to contact us with any further questions."

successfully burned the same Video TS file using Titanium 12 onto the same two discs which failed and generated the above error message.
There is nothing wrong with my external BD/DVD drive with ANY other program - EXCEPT Titanium 17.  I think it is the problem - not my equipment or Media.
