Mac121,

(1) Which version of the software (Full name and Version number) do you have, please?

(2) Which audio application in there are you using. or what are you trying to do with it?  (please feel free to give lots of details)

Brendon

Hi Brendon It's Realtek Record Lab Premium Build 140B49B. Sorry but I don't know which audio app it's using . Does it have it's own audio driver or does it piggyback. I contacted Tech Support but they were pretty useless. They said refer to the help section within the app but there was nothing relating to bass and treble control nor anything about a graphic equalizer, which I find rather disconcerting as every other media player I have come across  as some way of controlling audio wave bands. that's about all I can say. other than I have downloaded Realtek audio manager (latest version). the driver was there but the actual manager where the graphic equalizer is wouldn't open

Hi Mac,

Sorry, but you've got me completely confused here.  Realtek is quite a different company from Roxio, and I can't find any reference to a Realtek Record Lab Premium, although the build number you quoted looks like a Roxio one.  Would you please run your software and then go to Help > About this software and have another crack at telling me what it actually is?

Best regards, Brendon

Perhaps we're a little bit closer.   All I can find in the Roxio shop that is anywhere close to what you're mentioning is Record Now Music Lab 10 Premier (link here)

rnml10p.jpg.61c0cab416916fbfd22caaca35534072.jpg   Is this the beastie you have?

If it isn't, could you post a screen shot of the "About" display (without your serial number) please?

Sorry Brendon I've had another look when I open Roxio music lab from desktop and then about I don't see anything like what you have shown me. It does say Roxio RecordNow  Music Lab premium but not 10. When I purchased this app I spoke to an adviser and they told me it was compatible with win 10 and so it is. it works fine. It's just the problem Audio bands. Anyway  how do I do a screenshot and send it to you because when I press Alt and PrtSc nothing seems to be happening likewise if I just press Prtsc on it's own

Hi Mac,

When you start to reply you should see a box like this:

drag.jpg.0f6e2a88039bb0f9b21c9d4c9f689fb9.jpg

You start to type where the straight-line cursor is under the "B".   If you get your screen-shot file on your desktop where you can see it, left-click on the file and drag it onto the area around the paperclip, then let it go, it will upload to the bulletin board.

Now, if you click on the black circle with a white "+" which has appeared, your screenshot will be attached in your message wherever that cursor is.  If you don't click on the "+", your screenshot will be attached at the end of your message.   Care to try it?

Thanks Mac.  I've modified it to protect your serial key. (Installs are counted by Roxio, and we don't want someone else stealing your installs)

It's not the version I have.    I'm off to do some more research.  I'll be back later.

Hi Mac,

I've searched all over, but I can't find anything on the Roxio site in a later version than Record Now Music Lab 10.  This might be a result of me looking from the bottom of the world (New Zealand) but if anyone can show me where to buy version 14, please do.  It seems to be a diced-and-sliced offspin of Creator somewhere between Creator 2012 and Creator NXT.

Anyway if your version has "Create Music Disc Projects" in its Audio section, I might be able to help you.   Screenshots are from RNML 10.

-Click that Music Disc Projects button and run Roxio Music Disc Creator.

- Now drag a music file into the Audio CD window

- Right-Click on the file to highlight it and select Edit Audio

- When the editor opens, click the Equalizer button and a fine array of sliders should appear

- I think this is what you wanted, and I hope this is where you'll find it in your version.

Regards, Brendon

Hi Brandon Thank you once again for email. Looking at what you've shown me It only alters the music wave bands for that particular track . How to explain this in another way if I'm using say Windows Media Player. I go into enhancements and open the graphic equalizer then whatever changes I make apply to all the music files I'm playing Now and in the future. The thing is I don't want to stop using Roxio because it is infinitely easier to create playlists and cd's'. I just wish Roxio had provided a graphic equalizer that works for all tracks at once not just a single track at a time. Oh well my friend I think we've found that isn't the case. I just want to thank you for all your help and input. By the way I've always wanted to visit New Zealand I hear it's a beautiful country. Who knows I've seen a lot of the world it's just the flight putting me off. Best Wishes. Mac

Hi Mac,

I just went back and tried it.  It seems 'Edit Audio' only works on one file at a time.   The button greys out if I select more than one file.

Many players such as WMP allow you to set filters for playback, and CD recording software commonly 'normalizes' the volume of audio, but I don't know of an editor which will batch-edit your audio files like this.   Perhaps one of the more specialized (and expensive) editors might?

Best regards, Brendon

Have you looked at    GoldWave   ?  They used to have a trial version that seems to last a long time.

Hi Brendon The thing is it's not just an audio editor it's a media as well. Perhaps someone should suggest that to Roxio. With WMP you can actually have the equalizer showing for each audio track and can alter audio bands as required, because Roxio doesn't have this feature, when I create a playlist I have to save it to my playlist folder and playback through WPM which is a pain because you can only play one file at a time. With Roxio's two options to play files you can swap  between the two. Anyway all that said I'll just have to carry on with WMP. thanks once again for your help.

Best regards

Mac
