Videowave function question

Joyce P

Question

I have recently installed Creator NXT 7 Pro and have been frustrated and I think will be disappointed to learn that the templates for Menu Title/Sub Chapter feature is no longer available on Videowave. They are available on MyDVD but only videos can be used on that function and no still photos.  I have asked Corel Support and all I get are links to online manuals which tell me much of what I already know having used/loved Videowave for the past 15 years. So if these templates are available on Videowave I would appreciate being directed to them. Or if there is a work-around someone has discovered I'd love to hear about that too. Thanks in advance.

As far as I can remember, the Menu Title/Sub Chapter are always in MyDVD (never in Videowave). The Videowave is used to assemble and put together photos/videos/audio.

Unlike in the previous versions, it appears that you can no longer directly drop in a Videowave production (dmsm file) in MyDVD. I just started using the NXT 7 Pro yesterday and created a video file of my Videowave production (in Videowave menu ==>  Output|Export As) . I then used that video file in MyDVD.

In the old version of MyDVD, it would allow you to use a Videowave production as an input file and even let you make edit to that Videowave production  while in MyDVD. The other feature I miss in the current MyDVD is editing the Menu (changing menu title, chapter titles, editing background photo and audio) in one place. 😞

I just remember the method that our digital guru Jim used to add a dmsm file in MyDVD.

In the current version of MyDVD, choose "Add Title". In the window that pops up, navigate to the folder where you have your Videowave production (dmsm file). Then in the File Name input box, type *.dmsm. Select the dmsm file that you want as an input. That's it!
